Trailer

Lamp-lit saloon table: a dealer slips a second deck from under the table while a gambler and a young woman look on
The night of the rigged game. Look at the dealer's hands.

The story

One night. One marked deck.

Last Light was the brightest saloon on the frontier, and it was your father's. Then came the night of the big game. The dealer worked a marked deck. Card shark Grant Rowan took the pot. Railroad man Yates Sloan took the deed.

Nine years later the windows are boarded and the sign is dark. You have a horse, a small stake and a name nobody at the table remembers yet. Win it back town by town, table by table — and find out who else was in on it.

  • Your father

Bet everything on a hand he never had a chance to win.

  • The dealer

Dealt from a marked deck that night. His hands still shake.

  • Yates Sloan

Railroad agent. Holds the deed. Will offer you money to walk away.

  • Grant Rowan

The card shark who won the pot. Waiting at the last table.

Nell Mercer leaning on a poker table under a lantern, smiling

“Eyes open, partner. Let's take their money.”

Nell Mercer

Your partner

Nell reads the table. You read the man.

Sharp, funny and never wrong for long. Nell Mercer rides with you from the first town to the last.

  • Whispered reads

Mid-hand she leans in: who's bluffing, who's scared, who has folded too often. Listen, or don't.

  • A stake when you're short

Bust out and Nell can cover your buy-in. She takes 30% of your winnings until she's repaid.

  • A secret about that night

She was in the room when your father lost Last Light. She hasn't told you everything.

The trail

Twelve towns between you and the deed.

Every town is a real hold'em tournament. Opponents get sharper the further you ride and adapt to how you play. Three towns end in a heads-up duel.
